Egg shaped and beautifully decorated with cherubs at play among florals and rococo swirls, all in soft colored enamels. The lift off top separates from the lower half with pressure and reveals a simply punched gold dome grille. The eye appeal of this work is exceptional and exudes quality workmanship and high grade execution. No markings found. Measurements of 1 1/2 x 1 inches.
Condition reportVery good noting three very minor areas of restoration in blue pattern near the rim of the bottom half (1/32" to 1/16" found under magnification), several very tight hairlines and a similar restored area in the blue pattern on the rim of the top half. Not visible or detracting in any way, seen only with magnification.
