A beautiful example with domed agate cover bound by a rose colored gold bezel engraved with garlands, instruments and the farmer's arms. Additional engraving of SOUVENIR and D' AMAITIE NAIVE. The hinged lid lifts to reveal an attractive pierced inner grille, no markings found, tests 10 karat. Measurements of 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Condition reportVery good noting an old lead solder repair along a very fine strip of separated bezel along the base. Similar to this repair is a 1/32 x 1/4 inch strip off loss along the bottom edge where a bezel is formed for the agate. These are very minor and are due to the weakening of an are because of engraving. Overall, the presentation is very nice.
