Auction details |
An exceptional work of art attributed to Geneva goldsmiths, circa 1840 and perhaps retailed by Aspreys. Gorgeous jewel-toned blue enamel trimmed by powder blue and white border among cut and engraved gold. Inside, the gracefully executed grille is saw-pierced and delicately engraved. The sponge area bears a very faint maker's mark. Measurements of 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches.
Condition reportExcellent, complete, only very minor light bits of wear to the enamel areas, no damage or repair.
