Of oblong box form with hinged cover fitted with a beautifully figured polished bloodstone set in a decorative gold bezel. The cover lifts to reveal a fabulous saw-pierced and engraved grille with facing birds at a goblet, surrounded by florals. The base is also set with a bloodstone piece in gold bezel. Unmarked, perhaps French, circa 1850. Measurements of 1 1/4 x 1 inches.
Condition reportExcellent, complete, tight clasp and hinge, no damage or abuse, no monogram or engraving.
