A coiled horn example of shaded coloring topped by an amethyst-colored stone on the hinged cover that is deeply chased with thistle and leaf designs that are finely stippled. The hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior with punched and engraved grille, the horn body is mounted with a silver shield, double link chain to a finger loop. No markings found. Measurements of 2 x 1 1/2 inches.

Excellent, complete, tight clasp and hinge, no damage or abuse, no monogram.
