BEAUTIFUL URN FORM 18K ENAMEL VINAIGRETTE

A unique example in the form of a classical urn with yellow gold acanthus leaves on rose gold near the top bail, just below this is a tiny waisted area with silver rosettes applied, lower down a bit there's an egg-and-dart design rim in yellow gold where the hinged cover opens to a rose gold grille decorated with roses and leaves in saw-pierced and engraved designs. The white band of enameling tops the widest portion and just below it are spirals of applied silver on rose gold with more yellow gold acanthus below these. The base has more applied yellow gold decoration on its rose gold. Underneath is a hand engraved seal with intaglio dove and the words PEACE TO MY FRIEN'D (sic). This beautiful piece bears the eagle head gold hallmark on its top loop. Measurements of 1 1/2 x 3/4 inches.

Excellent, complete, good clasp and hinge, no damage or repair, some light wear and evidence of use
