A thistle motif silver-mounted example, the body of hollow horn topped by a faceted stone on heavily chased silver cover decorated with thistles that opens to an engraved and punched grille with hinge, hunting horn shaped body set with a small silver registry mark (pre-1884) and tipped on the end with another thistle motif set with an additional amethyst colored stone, unmarked. Measurements of 2 x 1 inches.

Loose mount between silver and horn body, otherwise very good, tight clasp and hinge, possibly re-set tip stone.
