A heart-shaped lock with engraved designs including the depiction of a keyhole with partially swung cover engraved on the hinged cover that opens to reveal the saw pierced and bright cut grille. Hallmarks overall for Birmingham, 1818-19, sterling, John Lawrence & Co, maker. Measurements of 1 1/2 x 1 inches.

Excellent, complete, tight clasp and hinge, no damage or abuse, no monogram or engraving beyond the decoration.
