figured mahogany veneers and heavy Chinese Chippendale brasses, finely dovetailed drawers with cypress secondary, Charleston, South Carolina, 1750-1770, 72-1/2 x 44-1/2 x 24-1/4 in. Refinished, feet and bed molding replaced, possibly original brasses (no plugged holes), lacking one escutcheon and two bales, surface patches and repairs to case sides, other scattered patches to moldings, other normal minor molding patches, repairs and surface flaws. Provenance: Formerly Collection of Historic Charleston Foundation; Sold to benefit the Museum Collection Fund Reserve: $40,000
