Porcelain Female Figure by Herend of Hungary

Graceful, hand-painted porcelain figure of a casually-draped young woman, manufactured by Herend of Hungary. Features include delicate modeling, a fine white glaze, and selective coloring in gentle hues of gray, green, and pink. Perhaps depicted after a bath, the young woman binds her hair while sitting cross-legged on a low square plinth, which itself rests upon a cylindrical base. The Herend mark on the underside of the base is consistent with a mid- to late-twentieth-century date of manufacture.
Dimensions: 22"H; base approximately 8½" diameter
Condition: Excellent; a gentle cleaning should remove some dust, occasional soiling, and remnants of an old price sticker on the side of the base.
