Set of 3 Chinese Opera-House Puppets 19th C

Set of 3 late-nineteenth-century opera-house puppets on non-original stands includes 2 male and 1 female figure. Each intricately-fashioned figure features a hand-painted face ceramic face, wood body, and jointed legs; each is fully dressed in a colorful, hand-embroidered costume made from silk, fur, beads, and other materials.
Dimensions: Puppets with stands, approximately 19-1/2" to 20-1/2"H
Condition: On faces, some scuffing and soiling; on costumes, some soiling and wear to fabric and fur, occasional loss to stitching and beads, waterstain to costume of figure dressed in light pink robe. On stands, some soiling, some damage to finish.
