Harry Blackstone, Sr.'s Sand Canisters

[Apparatus] [Harry Blackstone, Sr.] Harry Blackstone, Sr.'s Sand Canisters. In between stage illusions, Harry Blackstone, Sr. performed many tricks "in one," in front of the curtain. These included the famous Blackstone Vanishing Birdcage, as well as the Sand Canister effect. A quantity of sand both transposes between the two vessels and also multiplies in quantity. One of two Willmann-made sets known, and the very outfit used by Blackstone Sr. Carl Willmann, Hamburg, Germany, Ca. 1920. Fair condition, as expected. Letter of provenance included.
