[Poster] Carter, Charles. Carter the Great "Cheating the Gallows." Otis Litho, Cleveland, ca. 1926. Eight sheet (80 x 106") stone lithograph billboard poster. Carter defies death in this illusion, a simulated hanging, from which he magically escaped. The props for the effect were made for Carter by F.G. Thayer of Los Angeles. Unmounted, fine condition.
