Mulholland, John. John Mulholland's Story of Magic. New York, 1935. Publisher's cloth, illustrated. Dust jacket tattered and separated; cloth rubbed at extremities, otherwise good condition. Signed and inscribed by author John Mulholland three times; also signed and inscribed by many of the performers profiled in the book: T. Nelson Downs, Jack Gwynne, Okito, Marie Bamberg, Ade Duval and Harry Blackstone, Sr. in most cases, the signatures are underneath each performer's portrait. This book was designed and published by Barrows Mussey, who, as Henry Hay, went on to write The Amateur Magician's Handbook and other magic texts.
