[Apparatus] [Howard Thurston] Canary in Light Bulb. Hand-blown glass light bulb shell. After vanishing a canary, Thurston would cause it to reappear inside a lightbulb. Ca. 1930. Fine condition. With a typed note of provenance stating "Bulb used by the famous magician Howard Thurston in his Bird to Lamp Trick." From the collection of Jay Marshall, but without further provenance or documentation related to the bulb's history or former owners.
