Two unsigned works in ink on paper by Zachariah Reynolds of Washington County, Pennsylvania. Circa 1810, these images are executed on sheets that measure approximately 4 x 6 inches each, and are attributed to Zachariah Reynolds of Washington county, Pennsylvania who was well known for his penmanship. Around 1810 Reynolds executed a series of ink and watercolor charts of the internal organs for Dr. Leatherman, of Houstonville, Pennsylvania (see lot 346). These works are from a group of twenty works that recently surfaced in the possession of Zachariah Reynolds' descendants. An affidavit of provenance from these descendants accompanies these pieces.
Condition reportVery good noting age toning and mat burn, the image with lion is separated intentionally by a horizontal cut line, none are laid down.
