Pair of small Chinese spinach jade seals with matching box, consisting of two rectangular seals each surmounted by a fu-lion and incised to one side with the inscription 'ding hai san yue, Shimin ke' (=third month of 1887/1947, carved by Shimin), each stored within a conforming recessed compartment to the inside of a square box, its rounded lid with a high-relief chilong, further chilong incised on the sides, the base with four character seal 'Shimin ke yin', the dark green stone flecked with light and dark inclusions (minor chips, surface scratches and possible hairline cracks), seals 2''h; box 3''sq; Provenance: Estate of Diana Engstrom, Northern California and Sweden
