having a glazed, hinged top and sides within a molded bronze frame, opening to a fitted, upholstered interior, resting on a mahogany table top with cast laurel frame, raised on fluted, tapered legs headed by bronze capitals and joined by lower incurved stretchers centered by a bronze rosette, on toupie feet. The underside stamped, "Henry Dasson, 1884", also foot mount signed, "Henry Dasson, 1884".
Provenance: Purchased by a local collector in 1976 from the Dallas estate of Lily Pons (1898-1976). She studied at the Paris Conservatoire and made her opera debut in 1928.
