"AFTER ALBERTO GIACOMETTI, GRAPHIC USING AN INTAGLIO PROCESS, 16 3/8"" X 11"", ""YOUNG WOMAN"", E.A.4/7:Size is the plate size. Note: the blind stamp at the bottom left of the print reads, ""Alberto Giacometti, eau-forte originale"", however, The Fondation Alberto et Annette Giacometti calls it a photo-engraving matrix made after a drawing and not an original etching (an etching is what several auction houses have called it, including Christie's New York, Thursday, February 13, 2003, lot 70). The print is from the various artists portfolio, ""La Magie Quotidienne"" from 1968, is in the Lust catalogue raisonne as #192, and was published posthumously; the catalogue raisonne by Herbert C. Lust as revised by Alan Wofsky, 1991 lists the work as an etching by Giacometti dating from 1959-1961 with the album dating from 1968; 20"" x 14"" paper size. Float framed; unsigned. Ex.
