John Bellamy Carved Eagle 25" Don't Give Up Ship

JOHN H. BELLAMY CARVED WOODEN EAGLE - Fine untouched example of Bellamy's classic 25" wing span over door eagle with banner lettered 'Don't give up the ship'. This example has no breaks or repairs and retains all of its original mounting hardware. Its original red, white and blue paint exhibit a natural weathered surface with no evidence of overpaint or touch-up. The banner has an original old pre-paint wooden keystone patch, most likely to remove a knot in the original wood. 9" high, 25" wide, 3 1/2" deep, very good condition.
