Encased Postage Stamps
Rare Twenty-Four Cents "Kirkpatrick & Gault" Rarity

EP-171, HB-165, S-118, Twenty-Four Cents, KIRKPATRICK & GAULT, Choice About New.
Rated as Rarity-6 (16 to 20 known) according to Fred Reed. This outstanding example has a superb appearance. It is perfectly centered with a 24¢ red lilac Washington stamp that is vibrant and fully original in color. The mica is extremely clear and unbroken, with faint trace of any actual circulation. The case is a beautiful even chestnut in color, the contrast of having significant amounts of original silvering present on its reverse providing a lovely contrast and eye appeal to the sharp legends. Overall, the reverse is immaculate and quite glossy with underlying natural luster.

Accompanied by The Philatelic Foundation (PF) Expert Committee Certificate No. 0174199 dated 8/10/87 as Genuine.

Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
