Egypt, XXVI Dynasty, c. 664-525BC, a very attractively carved and painted tall wooden kneeling female figure with high headdress that is painted in red and blue checker board fashion with blue painted wig and nice detail to her facial features in black on gold gilt face. From her waist down of pale yellow gesso. Some slight losses of paint, age crack of gesso on her lap; headdress has been repaired. H: 13". Attractive. Ex. Washington D.C. Collection.
