Egypt, XXVI Dynasty, c. 664-525BC, a large and very impressive wood face mask in expressive gold paint as facial color (some repaint around mouth). Large eyes and brows are in black and white with pale green and white horizontal bands as part of head band. Typical losses to bottom side, bottom and top of mask. San Fernando Valley Collection. S: 10.25" x 8.5" x 5" thick. A strikingly beautiful mask and worthy of a strong bid.
