Phoenicia, c. late 6th-5th century BC., a wonderful cobalt blue-green colored core formed glass aryaballos with globular body that comes to a dull point at bottom; the top with yellow collar on flared rim and single loop handle. Horizontal fine bands of zigzag and event linear design beautifully adorn this outstanding example of early core glass. Mottled flat and glossy patina! H: 2.75".
