Description
Patented in 1877 by Albert H. Dean, a very desirable and rare clockwork toy, the internal mechanism allows the figure to seemingly draw and smoke as he sits on his cast iron chair mounted on ornate wood base concealing smoke tubing and clockwork. Grant wears early replaced suit, his head is handpainted with paint chip to forehead. Provenance: Hegarty Collection. 12'' high.
