Large Rookwood squat vase with rich Ombroso glaze from 1915 with purple, green, orange and brown tones and nice flowing effect. A band of carved decoration by William E. Hentschel completely encircles the shoulder of the vessel. Marked with Rookwood logo, XV, the shape number 131 and the artist's incised mark. Mint. 8 3/4" wide by 5 3/4" tall.
