Description: 61 pp. Illustrated from rare and interesting photographs; 12 golf course map drawings (1 folding of St. Andrews); plus a cartoon frontispiece drawing from an old Golf Illustrated. 8x5½, original red cloth-backed light green boards, front cover lettered in dark green. First Edition.Inscribed and signed by the author on the front free endpaper, "Yours with sincere regards, A. Bauer, May 16th, 1916." A rare and significant work on golf course architecture, a book devoted to hazards. This is only the fourth copy of the first edition offered at auction in the past twenty-five years, according to ABPC auction records and our internal sources. Murdoch 44; D&M 6320; D&J B8890.
