An Italian Saber

Nickeled three-branch hilt with dark wood grip cut with fingerstalls, the lightly-curved blade with a single broad fuller to either side subdivided at the clipped tip. Etched with vines, at the right forte an insignia and UNIONE MILITARE ROMA at the left forte Sr. A.E. GNUTTI LUMEZZANE. With its nickeled steel scabbard. First half of the 20th century. Wear and rust to nickel on hilt and scabbard. 109.8 cm overall length in scabbard. Condition III
