A FINE NAPOLEON III GILT BRONZE MOUNTED PLUM PUDDING MAHOGANY CABINET ON STAND, signed Millet à Paris, third quarter 19th century, the rectangular cornice crowned with a three quarter pierced gallery of entre lac above a plain frieze centering a mask flanked y flower filled cornucopia and blossoming branches over a glazed hinged door enclosing a shield shaped Gouache depicting 18th century figures amidst riverside ruins centering scrolling rose vine between berried laurel entwined Corinthian columns on a conforming single drawer stand with a pale blue jasperware plaque of frolicking putti holding attributes of the arts, flanked by ribbon-tied musical trophies raised on tapering rectangular legs ending in acanthus cast sabots joined by a shelf stretcher with pierced gallery. Height: 70 5/8", width: 29", depth: 18 1/4".
