A LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED MOTHER-OF-PEARL, TULIPWOOD, AND VARIOUS EXOTIC WOODS INLAID COMMODE À VANTAUX, possibly Italian, early 20th century, the shaped rectangular fleur de pêche marble top above a frieze drawer with reticulated entre lac cast panels suspending berried laurel wreath pulls flanking a central pierced mount of interlaced blossoming branches over a hinged door with an oval panel enclosing a ribbon-tied floral trophy for gardening within shaped burled walnut panels framing amaranth inlaid curling vine centered by ebony, kingwood, and rosewood trellis patterned panels flanked of scrolling acanthus and blossoming garlands raised on short tapering rectangular fluted legs with chandelle mounts on a conforming foliate cast sabot. Height: 38 7/8", width: 63", depth: 25".
