CHAUNCEY F. RYDER, N.A. (American 1868-1949) A PAINTING, "Trees on the River Bend," oil on canvas with wood backing, signed L/L. Provenance: private collector, Austin, Texas. Owner purchased in early 1980's from Brass lantern Gallery formerly of Houston, Texas. Painting has Ryder's original sticker on center stretcher bar indicating :#273, landscape, Chauncey Ryder. Painting has tag from Grand Central Art Galleries formerly of New York indicating title, artist, size and their price of $1,800.00. appears to e in good condition with some slight horizontal lines that appear like stretcher bar lines in center of canvas. 32" x 44". Original Melvin frame.
