Painting: UV analysis: two minute areas of retouch, upper and lower left quadrants; approx. 3/4" horizontal depression in canvas, upper left quadrant, w/associated paint loss; pinpoint hole in canvas, lower left quadrant; sporadic varnish discoloration in sky. Frame: original gilt surfaces intact; very minor loss of gesso at one corner.
