Description

Probably mid-19th century, each with a globe finial surmounted by Fortuna or Mercury, after Giambologna (1529-1608, Italian), over a lappet-cast nozzle above five foliate-sheathed J-form candlearms, over a ram's mask headed spreading triangular stem with anthemia sprays and scrolls ending in winged paw feet and on a stepped triangular base with canted corners, the larger, 39.5'' H x 11'' W x 10'' D, est:$4000/6000. Provenance: Property from an Important Private Collection, Palos Verdes, CA

Condition

The smaller: 38'' x 11'' x 10''. Good condition overall. Elements decently cast. Particular crispness to ormolu elements. General light marks, scratches and rubbing commensurate with age. Some dirt accumulation overall. Not electrified. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
