Probably first half 20th century, the serpentine top with triple-divided gilt-tooled black leather inset writing surface above a waved frieze fitted with one long drawer flanked by two short drawers, with faux drawers to the reverse, over female term and acanthus-headed cabriole legs ending in foliate-scroll sabots, 30.5'' H x 69.5'' W x 37.5'' D, est:$2000/3000

Condition

Structurally sound. General marks, nicks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Mounts of varying quality- somewhat roughly cast. Female terms with pitting to faces. Mounts rubbed and slightly darkened overall, particularly sabots. Leather in good condition with only light marks and spotting. With some cracking, lifting and losses to veneer, mostly minor in areas. Largest areas of veneer loss are the insides of back legs, as visible in catalogue photo. Drawers locked. No key. AS-IS.
