From the personal collection of and signed by James Lovell, this 10"x10" Betacloth container has a snap-closure & a 2" gusset. Part number: SEB 32100025-301 and serial number: 1016 are on sewn label. There is a 3.5" diameter Betacloth insignia also sewn to the bag which is signed by Lovell. He has written: 'This beta cloth Bag contained Apollo 13 beta cloth patches in Odyssey spacecraft on the flight around the moon James Lovell'. Actually flown equipment such as this, is in very high demand and is seldom available. Lightly soiled, otherwise extremely fine condition. Certificate of Authenticity stating: 'The item...was flown on board the Apollo 13 Command Module, Odyssey during it's (sic) perilous flight around the moon April 11-17,1970'. Lovell has added his signature and the words: 'Commander's PPK (Pilot personal preference kit)' in his own hand to the certificate. Inside the kit are scraps of Beta Cloth left over from cutting up the patch that is sewn to the outside cover of the kit.
