Rookwood scenic Vellum, Rothenbusch, 19
Volleyball size Vellum glaze scenic vase done in 1911 by Fred Rothenbusch features a wrap around twilight setting with low clouds, trees, hills and a lake at mid ground. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, shape number 1128, a wheel ground x, an impressed V, an incised V for Vellum glaze and the impressed monogram of the artist. Height and diameter are 8 1/2 inches. Minor glaze inconsistencies account for the x.
