John Gtnyer, Hagerstown, (MD), No. 6 Chippendale/Hepplewhite Transitional Walnut Tall Case Clock. Boldly molded broken arch pediment with spherical turned finials and carved rosettes with central six pointed stars, turned column supports and arched top side lights, cove molded waist with fan carved pendulum door and reeded chamfered corners, base with applied serpentine panel, reeded chamfered corners and molded bracket base, ornately engraved brass dial with pinwheel , floral and foliate motifs, second and date dials, (minor restoration), 94-1/2" tall.
