A custom designed costume jacket worn by Michael Jackson at the Kansas City opening of the 1984 Victory Tour with The Jacksons as well as at other events and public appearances throughout the 1980s, including the cover of the July 23, 1984 issue of People magazine. The turquoise brocade floral pattern jacket with frontal zip closure is covered with iridescent Swarovski loch rosen and bugle beads in a variety of pastel shades. The jacket is lined in silver satin and contains "Bill Whitten" and "Michael Jackson" labels, and detachable epaulets. The fabric-over-leather removable sash is covered in turquoise bugle beads and large faceted faux gemstones. On public display at the Los Angeles GRAMMY Museum until April 12, 2009.
