Description
Crisp and clean Dull Finish ewer with blackberry decoration and patches of fired on gold, done in 1888 by Amelia Sprague. Marks include the Rookwood logo, the date, shape number 62 B, impressed W for white clay, an incised S for smear (Dull Finish) glaze and the incised initials of the artist. Height 7 1/8 inches. There is a unobtrusive firing separation in the bottom and one on the handle near where it joins the body. Otherwise the vase is uncrazed with great color and design.
