Extremely rare Simon Willard regulator banjo clock, ca. 1805, the mahogany case enclosing an eight day weight driven works with a sweep second hand and painted dial, inscribed Simon Willard, 52'' h. This clock is pictured in Sack's Good, Better, Best, pg. 135. A similar Simon Willard regulator without a sweep second hand is discussed in Diston & Bishop The American Clock, plate 283.

Flaking to dial. Bottom board replaced. One side of lower section replaced. Lower door with hinge side of frame replaced.
