The Wizard of Oz wax figures display

13. Judy Garland as "Dorothy", Bert Lahr as the "Cowardly Lion", Ray Bolger as "Scarecrow", and Jack Haley as "Tin Man" from The Wizard of Oz. (MGM, 1939) These beloved figures need no introduction. Judy Garland wears a trademark gingham check dress, white blouse, blue socks and ruby slippers. One slipper exhibits some slight damage. The wax head was sculpted by Logan Fleming and portrait painted in oil. The figure stands approximately 5 ft. 2 in. tall. The Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow costumes are faithful reproductions of the originals. The Cowardly Lion is made from faux fur, the Scarecrow's tattered garments are trimmed with faux straw, and the Tin Man is constructed of cardboard painted silver to resemble metal as well as a prop wooden ax painted silver. Each figure stands approximately 6 ft. tall. A wonderful, faithfully recreated display. *Note: The Dorothy figure is located in Los Angeles and the remaining figures are located at the Branson, Missouri Hollywood Wax Museum. $8,000 - $10,000
