20. Fortino Mario Alfonso Moreno Reyes as Cantinflas. A pioneer of the cinema de Mexico, this comedian and actor helped usher in its golden era. Moreno earned wide popularity with his stage and film persona Cantinflas, usually portrayed as an impoverished slumdweller. Charlie Chaplin once called him "the greatest comedian in the world", and Moreno is often referred to as the "Charlie Chaplin of Mexico". His wax figure is among an exclusive group of originals from the Museum's opening in 1965. He wears brown pants, white shirt, gray vest, bright red sash and scarf, and a brown fedora.
