Early E. Vom Hofe Peerless 355 Trout Reel

Early E. Vom Hofe Peerless Model 355 German Silver and Hard Rubber Trout Reel. From a Maine estate, this size 3 1/2 Edward Vom Hofe reel is in very good plus unpolished original condition. With a 2 3/8" dia., this German silver banded example has only a hairline crack near the tail plate foot screws, keeping it from being blemish free. With a tastefully done inscription on the head plate that reads "F. W. A'dee" and screw heads that show minimal use, this early reverse "S" handle reel is further enhanced by the "E. Vom Hofe – NY" marked leather case in very good plus condition with complete strap and unmarked name plate. A true classic American trout reel.
