Rare Julius Vom Hofe Narrow Spool Perforated Trout Reel. With a 2 5/8" diameter and narrow 11/16" wide spool, this number 2 size trout reel features perforated rims and overhanging lip on the head plate to prevent line from entangling under the full sized, counter balanced handle. The large hard rubber grasp is free from crack or chips, and sits opposite from the knurled counter balanced weight. Marked with "Julius Vom Hofe - Pat Oct.8, '89" on the tail plate, this sliding click equipped reel has a nickel plated finish over brass, with small areas showing signs of wear. The tail plate rim has slight nicks, but no bends, with a smooth turning spool. A full size foot and strong click complete this rare reel from Julius Vom Hofe, in very good condition.
