Scarce "H.L. Leonard - Pat. No. 191813" Marked Hand Made Bronze and German Silver Raised Pillar Trout Reel. A third version Bi-Metal reel with a 2 1/4" diameter (measured pillar to pillar) and 1" wide spool, with nickel silver foot that has the typical Julius Vom Hofe perforation (slightly tapered), and attaches to the foot pillars directly. The hard rubber grasp is attached to the tapered handle via a rivet, as is the tail plate mounted click. With aluminum spool flanges and brass arbor, screw off end cap and crisp constant click, in excellent minus condition.
