Bradford Brass Trout Reel

"Bradford - Boston" Marked Brass Trout Reel. Produced before the name change to "Bradford & Anthony", this pre 1867, 2 1/8" diameter and 1 1/16" wide spool reel features a terrific early bone grasp and half handle. The brass shows a slight rub near the name on the face plate, otherwise the patina is uniform. The foot has been tapered slightly at the sides and is 2 3/16" long. With constant click and a high spot on the gear that "sticks" slightly when the handle is turned, in very good condition for a reel approaching 150 years of age.
