Rare Meisselbach Amateur Sidemount #11 Trout Reel. With modifications known on only one other example, this rare "Gogebic" reel is 2 1/4" in diameter minus the added "cage", likely intended to both increase the line capacity of the reel as well as prevent the line from billowing off the otherwise open spool design. With a top side mounted click, as well as a small cylinder handle and counter balance weight, this "Pat'd Feb 23, '86" marked reel is in very good plus condition, with soldered line guide attached to the foot. An interesting reel with great aesthetics.
