833. Charlton Heston "Colonel George Taylor" costume and display from Planet of the Apes. (TCF, 1968) This is the hero gray flight suit costume worn by Charlton Heston as "Colonel George Taylor" in the film Planet of the Apes. It features "ANSA" insignia patch on the upper right breast and large U.S. flag on the left shoulder and internal Western Costume labels typewritten "Charlton Heston". The costume is mounted on a custom-built flexible mannequin and incredibly accurate silicon head, prosthetics-grade glass eyes, and hand-punched human hair. The display stands 6 ft. 3 in. tall. Mounted on this exceptional custom-made mannequin, the costume truly comes to life to make an impressive display piece. Certainly one of the most iconic Sc-Fi costumes to ever appear at public auction. $40,000 - $60,000
