Porcelain figure of a putto or Cupid holding a masquerade-ball mask in 1 hand while disrespectfully thumbing his nose with the other, manufactured by Meissen, Germany, c. late nineteenth or early twentieth century; marked with trademark crossed swords and stamped with a serial number on the base. This figure is part of Meissen's L-Series of 26 hand-painted Cupid/putto figures; each stands on a pedestal painted to resemble marble and decorated with gilding.
