Beatles Diana Dors Waxwork Bust From Sgt Peppers Album Cover . The voluptuos figure of the fifties actress and blonde bombshell Diano Dors is certainly one of the most prominent figures on the album cover The waxwork was one of the few used that was chosen by the Beatles and Peter Blake on the final Sgt Pepper cover shot. The base and arms were removed for exhibit some years ago. The model's make up has been lightly retouched but the hair and the fabric on the bust remain the same. Height 24" The personalities chosen for selection on the album cover were chosen by the Beatles themselves and represented people most admired by them and array of artists, singers, actors, comedians, teachers, gurus and authors became the subject of much discusiion upon the album's release. It is unclear who exactly chose Dors or why she was one of the few waxworks used as opposed to a lifesize cardboard cut-out selected to be used but she added a glamourous note to the obscure eclectic mix. The waxworks were borrowed for the shoot at Michael Coopers studio on the the 30th March 1967 from Madame Tussauds who are credited on the back of the album. The Fame Bureau believe that this is one of the last remaining relics that exist from the legendary album cover. GBP55000-65000
